Of the Little Mill Distillery is said to be the oldest in Scotland, and possibly the oldest in the world. Although we will never know the exact truth of these claims, there is no doubt about the long and fascinating history of the distillery. Little Mill already produced legally whiskey in 1772. And already in a less formal place - a brewery in Dunglass Castle - which was also used for distilling spirits since the beginning of the 14th century. After several owners have stopped the distillery in 1994 and was destroyed by fire in 2004 and then never produce a drop. Fortunately, living the "spirit" continues in the highly sought after bottlings. It is rare to use a water source for Highland Lowland Malt, as well as the use of Stornoway Perthshire peat. Little Mill is known for its subtle floral character and vanilla-rich sweetness. A sip of this fine whiskey, is more than just unforgettable pleasure, it is a unique and historical experience.

The presentationbox:
Little Mill 2015 Private Collection is an exclusive collection of 1,500 individually numbered bottles in a handcrafted finished wood presentation box. The graceful stopper engraved with the logo Little Mill, the collar and badge are engraved by hand and finished to a premium standard. Each box contains a 5cl miniature bottle containing the Little Mill Private Cellar 2015 release, allowing the owner to taste this wonderful liquid, no need to open the main numbered bottle collector. Each case is unique and comes complete from one of the vessels in which the 2015 Private Cellar collection has matured with a piece of a wooden rod.

Tasting Notes:
Rich shades of old gold lead to the scent of the management of an old cedar forest on a summer evening with subtle hints of aromatic spices. Warming in the mouth with flavors of cooked apples, hints of dried fruit. Soothing by notes of apricot, then dark Muscovado sugar on the finish.

The Loch Lomond Group (LLG) are the two active distilleries Glen Scotia and Loch Lomond. Furthermore LLG also stock the prestigious distillery closed Little Mill in the ranks. This is the history of the brands LLG one of the oldest in the Scotch whiskey industry. The brands of the company are characterized by the typical identity of the areas where the different whiskeys come from.

Rumor has it that the "Little Mill Distillery" was the oldest distillery in Scotland. Despite not exactly find out is whether these rumors are true, there is no doubt about the long history and impressive "heritage" of the now-defunct "Lowland Distillery". While the distillery was destroyed by a fire and there is more since then not a drop of spirits is part of the stock of the store Single Malt whiskey preserved in 2004. Periodically therefore bottled bottles in the limited storage vessels.
