Scottish-Dutch Fusion Whisky
1 ex-bourbon barrel of American oak with Longmorn whisky. A part of an ex-sherry butt of Glenrothes and 2 ex-sherry barrels distilled by Zuidam Distillery, Baarle Nassau, the Netherlands.
Color : cherry wood
Nose: First drying the nose with chocolate and dried coconut. Scottish pancakes with bacon, covered with maple syrup. Polished wooden floorboards, old-fashioned paper and dark toffee.
Taste: Caramel cream, Maraschino cherries, rhubarb crumble and molasses. Later roasted meat gravy.
Finish: Soft, creamy mouthfeel with all parts of the distilleries involved. Grilled meat with game gravy, rowan with quince jelly and berries and cherries.
