Braeval Distillery is in a remote and elevated location in the Speyside Region. It is owned by Pernod Ricard and an important component of the Chivas Regal and
Ballantines and also the Passport and 100 Pipers blend. Built in 1973 and capacity of 4.2 million liters of pure alcohol per year. There is no worldwide Braeval single malt.
Since 2019 in the series The Secret Speyside Collection by Pernod Ricard. Braeval bottlings are therefore scarce and can mainly be found as independent bottlings
This single cask version is of a very respectable age of 17 years and also cask strength and matured in a sherry hogshead. Few tannins and lots of flavor in the corner of hazelnut and mocha. A sturdy and pronounced powerhouse with an unusual taste palette.
Sweet and spicy. Hazelnut, mocha. Currants. Old oak and light ginger.
Powerful and full. Creamy sherry, dried red fruit, brown sugar, mint tones and hazelnut / mocha.
Long, speaking. Mokkabitters and hints of tangerines.
