GD 21 is a composite of two different types of vessels to know Spanish Oloroo and Pedro Xeminez. The lion's share of this deep dark brownish whiskey consists of Oloroso. Both the Octarine as well in the GD21 is mentioned only the age indication of the youngest barrel. Given the texture / composition and the aftertaste we can assume that also used here many older whiskeys in this new release. In addition, the 21-year GlenDronach is an excellent addition to the existing collection consisting of 12, 15 and 18 years old. As one can see, the 21 year old is a logical consequence. The new whiskey will be available in the Netherlands in the second week of October 2011. In contrast to the pre-existing range is the 21-year-old filled at 48% by volume of alcohol which results in an intense flavor profile and a long finish. Perfectly so.
