Glengoyne distillery is an iconic distillery located just southeast of Loch Lomond. It is owned by Ian Macleod Distillers and produces a modest 1,100,000 lpa annually. Largely for its own worldwide single malt versions. Almost all (partly) aged in former sherry barrels. Elegantly soft, fruity with recognizable sherry influences.
This single cask, cask strength version has matured for 13 years in a first fill sherry cask and has resulted in a somewhat more powerful and spicy Glengoyne. Without dominant tannins, one would
