Long, long ago the English kingdom held sway in many countries around the world. To maintain order in which colonies were British soldiers sent to all corners of the empire - and who lusted a beer every now and then. Determined picky they were: prefer drank the same beer at home. Now it took so long before the beer from England arrived at their destination and often spoiled during the journey. In order to prevent that, a number of beers 'pumped up' by adding extra hops and alcohol. So then came the Special Export Guinness established, with an alcohol content of 8% by volume almost twice as strong as the original. It retained its special character and remains a delicious beer!
