Of the Little Mill Distillery is said to be the oldest in Scotland, and possibly the oldest in the world. Although we will never know the exact truth of these claims, there is no doubt about the long and fascinating history of the distillery. Little Mill already produced legally whiskey in 1772. And already in a less formal place - a brewery in Dunglass Castle - which was also used for distilling spirits since the beginning of the 14th century. After several owners have stopped the distillery in 1994 and was destroyed by fire in 2004 and then never produce a drop. Fortunately, living the "spirit" continues in the highly sought after bottlings. It is rare to use a water source for Highland Lowland Malt, as well as the use of Stornoway Perthshire peat. Little Mill 2015 Private Collection is an exclusive collection of 1,500 individually numbered bottles in a handcrafted finished wood presentation box. The graceful stopper engraved with the logo Little Mill, the collar and badge are engraved by hand and finished to a premium standard. Each box contains a 5cl miniature bottle containing the Little Mill Private Cellar 2015 release, allowing the owner to taste this wonderful liquid, no need to open the main numbered bottle collector. Each case is unique and comes complete from one of the vessels in which the 2015 Private Cellar collection has matured with a piece of a wooden rod.
