Mid 19th century British culture present in their empire everywhere. Especially in India. Therefore the British transports regularly full loads of their favorite pale ale to the colony.
But the journey was long and difficult conditions: despite the many storms had retained the ale its properties and flavor. Therefore, added the brewers of Queen Victoria plants and flowers, in particular hop, in order to stabilize the beer.
