The Glengarriff Collection from the Irish West Cork Distillers consists of two whiskeys; Glengarrif Bog Oak Charred Cask and Glengarriff Peat Charred Cask.

Both single malts have matured for 4 years in ex-sherry barrels and then had a 6-month finish on heavily burned barrels of white oak. Each barrel is roasted using a local smit.
Burning the Glengarrif Bog Oak uses semi-fossilized wood that has been preserved for centuries in the peat layers of 'Glengarriff Forest'. The peat used to stop the malting process of both whiskeys also comes from the Glengarriff Forest of the same name.

Glengarrif Bog Oak Charred Cask
This whiskey is spicy in the nose and also contains leather with a sweet undertone of dried fruit. The taste is intensely spicy with notes of ground pepper and nutmeg. The aftertaste is long and malty.
