Matured in American white oak barrels and finished in sweet Palomino sherry butts and Bourbon casks, the new edition is described as combining “festive aromas” of fig, marzipan, vanilla and citrus.
The whiskies are then married in Bourbon barrels before being transferred into Tawny Port pipes from Portugal.
“The Dalmore 25 is matured in casks that have previously housed a very special grape which creates a sweeter style of sherry,” said Dalmore master distiller Richard Paterson. “As a result, the cask has gifted a wonderful a palate of orange peel, chocolate truffles and spiced gingerbread.
