Comments

Green valleys, fertile fields, extensive forests and a mild climate have earned Touraine the nickname 'The garden of France'. The most important wine from this area is the Sauvignon. The relatively cool climate is influenced by the Atlantic Ocean: warm, sunny summers with relatively little rain. As a result, the grapes ripen slowly and for a long time and an optimal balance between sugar and acids is created in the grapes. Resulting in an uplifting wine. The most beautiful and fruitiest Sauvignons come from the area of Oisly. It is located between the famous Loire and Cher rivers. The area has one of the best terroirs of the Touraine and is furthermore known for its idyllic location in the middle of famous châteaux, including those of Châteaux de la Loire, Blois, Chenonceau, Chambord and Cheverny. Domaine de Marce – The Godet family has been making wine in this region for 6 generations. The soil of the 28 hectare vineyard consists mainly of loam with a high lime content. This results in mineral Sauvignons that are racy and slender. A real Loire Sauvignon as it should be.
