Tasting notes

This wine has a yellow color with golden hints. Aromatically clean, contained and enveloping. True to the characteristic aromatic profile of the variety chosen for this reserve, aromas of tropical fruit and citrus emerge, where papaya and mandarin stand out, followed by soft notes of vanilla and white pepper, with 6 months of aging in French oak barrels . On the palate it is rich, with impressive creaminess and balanced acidity, which emphasizes the alcohol, characteristic of a warm climate wine. Aftertaste is long and silky soft and gives a very pleasant taste. The wine goes perfectly with poultry with honey and herbs or pasta with fresh white sauces, but also with rich fish or octopus dishes. Please serve between 10 and 11ºC.

Sociedade Agrícola de Pias was founded in 1973 by José Veiga Margaça, a merchant from Torres Vedras who found in this small parish the opportunity to settle and produce original wines of high quality. His passion for the land and his deep knowledge and respect for the Alentejo allowed him to spend decades exploring new forms of production and creating wines that honor the unique terroir of Pias. On his estates, located between Serpa and Moura, in the far east of the Alentejo, with a total of 800 hectares, he began an intensive process of restructuring the vineyards, organizing plots and by grape variety, he renovated the cellar that best of technology and surrounded themselves with the people of the country, generating employment and wealth. For decades it strengthened its portfolio, winning awards and creating all the distribution logistics, turning Sociedade Agrícola de Pias into an autonomous company and several of its wines becoming references in the Portuguese market.
