Gevorkian Amphora White Dry is a beautiful Armenian white wine made from Voskehat and Kangun grape varieties. The Voskehat grape is a white grape variety that occurs in Armenia and has been cultivated here for many centuries. The grape is grown on the fertile slopes of Voskehat, a town near Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. It is known for its many sugars and full taste. The Kangun grape (also written Kangoun) is also an Armenian grape variety. The Kangun (or Kangoun) has been used to distill brandy for decades. An Armenian specialty. In recent years, winemakers have also used it for white wine, with sometimes surprising results. The grape produces particularly tasty white wines. The grapes are grown in the terroirs of the Ararat Valley. The wine is aged in clay karases for six months. This beauty comes straight from Armenia with an alcohol content of 12%.

Tasting notes

The Gevorkian Amphora White Dry has a beautiful straw yellow color in the glass with amber highlights. A bouquet of pear and honey with sweet aroma of wildflowers that is complemented by the elegant acidity of green apple that transitions into a long-lasting balanced aftertaste of honey and spicy flavors. The wine goes perfectly with fish and poultry dishes. Sweet fruit and fatty cheese also serve as a spicy addition to the wine. Please serve at a temperature of 8 – 12°C.
