The 2022 year began with above-average winter rainfall, followed by a dry spring and a challenging, warm harvest period. The experienced vineyard team took proactive measures to protect the grapes and irrigate selectively. Harvest took place between August 24th and September 26th, yielding grapes of exceptional quality. Overture 2022 is composed of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon, supplemented with 3% Cabernet Franc, 1.5% Merlot, 1% Malbec, and 0.5% Petit Verdot. The wine underwent a 20-day skin maceration and was then aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels.

The 2022 Overture opens with a seductive aromatic bouquet of bright cherries, blueberries, rose stems, and violets. Subtle notes of toasted almond and anise add depth. On the palate, the wine presents itself vibrantly and fruit-driven, with blackcurrant, blueberry, and wild cherry notes prominently. A crisp acidity adds tension and vibrancy, while the long, rounded finish is characterized by nuances of mocha and black tea. The result is a wine that is already inviting but can easily age for years to come.
