Seña was founded in 1995 by Eduardo Chadwick and Robert Mondavi with a clear mission: to create Chile's first truly iconic wine, one that could rival the world's finest. This pioneering spirit led to the release of the first vintage in 1997, with which Seña set the bar for premium winemaking in Chile. Today, Seña is known worldwide as a paragon of quality, innovation, and terroir expression.

For over fifteen years, the winery has been operating according to biodynamic principles, with maximum attention to a healthy vineyard and a balance between man and nature. The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented plot by plot, using both stainless steel tanks and concrete vats to preserve the purity of the fruit and the structure of the wine. Seña is then aged in French oak, some of it new, to add complexity and refinement.

Seña 2023 is intense and refined, with aromas of black cherry, cassis, and blueberry interwoven with subtle notes of violet, cedar, graphite, and a hint of cocoa. On the palate, it is rich and full-bodied, yet perfectly balanced: ripe, silky tannins are supported by vibrant acidity and a layered, lingering finish. A wine that already impresses, but will continue to develop in the coming decades.

99/100 Decanter.comWhat a knockout wine from Seña this year. Szechuan pepper spice on the nose, some chocolate notes, tobacco bell peppers and black cherry. High acidity makes the first mark, piercing and alive, so up front and forward with a dollop of ripe, almost sweet strawberry fruit, with a mouthwatering element that just makes you smile. Confident and so characterful. I love this wine, and could drink this all day. The length is incredible but the sense of energy and precision is also amazing as well as delivering a real push of flavor and complexity.
