The Gašper Cabernet Franc is an outstanding and refined wine originating from the prestigious Goriška Brda region in Slovenia. Characterized by its breathtaking landscape of steep hills and terraced vineyards, this region offers ideal conditions for growing grapes of exceptional quality. The Gašper Cabernet Franc is made from 100% Cabernet Franc grapes, a variety highly valued worldwide for the complexity and versatility it imparts to wines. The grapes are harvested from vineyards at an altitude between 80 and 200 meters above sea level, a location that ensures optimal sun exposure and excellent soil drainage. After a careful manual harvest, in which only the ripest and healthiest grapes are selected, the wine undergoes a detailed and controlled production process. The Gašper Cabernet Franc ages for 18 months, using various types of barrels to achieve the ideal harmony between the subtle wood aromas and the wine's lively fruity character. The maturation takes place partly in new 350-liter French oak barrels, partly in larger Slovenian oak barrels, and partly in stainless steel tanks. These alternating aging methods ensure a delicate balance, in which the wood notes blend elegantly with the fresh, fruity elements of the wine. With an alcohol percentage of 13%, the Gašper Cabernet Franc is a wine that is both accessible and versatile, ideal for pairing with a wide range of dishes. It offers a refined experience for the true wine connoisseur who loves red wines with a complex character.
