Gašper Rebula Selekcija is an exceptional Slovenian white wine from the enchanting Goriška Brda region, often referred to as the "Tuscany of Slovenia." Known for its rolling hills and terraced vineyards, this area offers an ideal microclimate for growing grapes of the highest quality. Situated at an altitude of 80 to 200 meters and facing west and southeast, the vineyards have a soil rich in marl, which gives the wines a distinctive character. Gašper Rebula Selekcija is made from 100% Rebula grapes, sourced from carefully selected plots such as Ronk and Borg. The vines, between 10 and 30 years old, are pruned using the traditional Guyot method and have a low planting density of 4,000 to 5,000 vines per hectare, ensuring low yields and top-quality grapes. After the manual harvest, in which only the best grapes are selected, the wine ages in oak barrels. This process provides structure and complexity, while preserving the wine's fresh and lively character. With an alcohol content of 13.5%, the Gašper Rebula Selekcija offers a perfect balance between crisp acidity and delicate fruit notes, which reflect the region's terroir in a refined manner.
