Product description

0.75 liters 15%

Quality:Cannonau di Sardegna DOC

Winegrower:IS Tellas di Leonida Corda, Sardinia

Grape variety:Cannonau (Granacha) and a little bit of Syrah

Drinking advice:18 to 20 degrees

Color:Pale ruby red color

Smell:Beautifully sweet, fresh nose of cherries, raspberries, blackberries, roses and a hint of white pepper.

Taste:Nice balance and freshness with some aromas of rose petals and a little salty bite at the end with a slight suggestion of some fine sandy tannins.

Application:With red meat and a firm pasta

Verdict:Thanks to the very light use of oak, this wine shows the typical aroma profile of the Cannonau and thus Garnacha: aromas of cherry, raspberry and blackberry accompany more complex and delicate notes of rose and white pepper. The taste shows concentration and very delicate tannins with a spicy hint of white pepper in the finish. Quite a bit of Cannonau is made in Sardinia, but this one certainly belongs to the top category. So soft, refreshing and despite the alcohol pure and ethereal.

The name Is Tellas comes from the large characteristic stones that make the terroir of Sardinia so calcareous. This soil ensures a unique quality grapes.

Extra information:

Beautiful wine made from the Cannonau grape, from Sardinia. The Cannonau is the most widely planted blue grape on the island. In terms of taste, this is a popular grape because it makes juicy, fruity wines that often have a spicy edge. The grape is not native to the island, but that this need not be a problem is proven by the Grenache. After all, it is also known as the Garnacha, or the Cannonau. The grape once started in Spain and then ended up in France and, as in this case, Italy. In Italy, the grape is sometimes known as Alicante or Tocai Rosso.
