Judgment on the Tenute Orestiadi Zibbibo Bianco
The Zibibbo grape is a descendant of the Muscat de Alexandria grape. Typically, it is used to make sweet dessert wine and Marsala. In this case, the wine is dry vinified. The result is a wine that immediately makes you think of a dessert wine, but the taste is very elegant, but also really dry and not sweet.

Tenute Orestiadi wine estate was founded by a cooperative of winegrowers and the Orestiadi Foundation, a cultural institution that
wishes to promote Sicilian indigenous grapes (and art). The name of the domain refers to the legend of Aeschylus about Orestes and the Orestiadi. The vineyards are located around Gibellina, in the Belice valley near Trapani on the western side of Sicily. The warmth of the sun and the cool sea breeze create unique climatic conditions there. Indigenous grapes from all kinds of small zones with specific microclimates and terroir characteristics are processed through modern vinification technology and wine storage. This results in wines rich in character and elegance that reflect the great diversity of Sicily.
