Meet the delicious Chateau Musar Gaston Hochar Rouge from our wine range. This beautiful Lebanese wine comes from the Bekaa Valley region with an alcohol content of 14%. The red wine is full and powerful in taste, made from the Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan and Cinsault grape varieties. Maturation takes place in oak barrels and lasts no less than 12 months. The bottles remain in the cellar for at least 3 years after wood maturation. In short, the wine is produced with a lot of love and care so that you can enjoy it.

Taste character

The taste character of the Chateau Musar Gaston Hochar Rouge is full and powerful. The wine turns a beautiful reddish brown in the glass and has a gripping, spicy aroma with nuances of leather, candied red fruit and oak. Thanks to the firm tannins, the wine can be kept for years. This beauty goes perfectly with the spicy Lebanese cuisine, such as tabbouleh, lamb and hummus. Serving tip: 16-18 degrees.

Wine House

Chateau Musar is located in an area where wine growing is more than 6,000 years old: the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon. The company's 180 hectares of vineyards are located approximately 30 kilometers south of Beirut, between two mountain ranges. The blue grapes grow at an altitude of about 1000 meters, the white at about 1500 meters. They are rooted in stony soils with limestone and gravel.

The climate is hot, sunny and dry, with fresh mountain winds and cold nights. Good for the grapes, which can ripen quietly and healthily and build up fresh acidity. It is a perfect place for nature-friendly viticulture; Chateau Musar was Lebanon's first certified organic wine estate. The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented naturally. The wines remain unfiltered and the amount of added sulfites is minimal.
