The Karas Kraki Ktor Syrah Alluvial is a characterful red wine from Armenia, originating from the Ararat Valley in the Armavir region. This area is known for its rich wine tradition and favorable combination of soil types and climate, which contributes to the high quality of the grapes. Exclusively 100% Syrah grapes are used for this wine. These are carefully hand-picked in the early morning around mid-September to ensure the grapes retain their optimal freshness. This is followed by a rigorous selection procedure in which only the best bunches are chosen in two steps. The vinification process is small-scale and artisanal. Fermentation takes place in small batches of approximately 400 kilos of grapes, allowing each batch to be closely monitored and controlled. Subsequently, the wine undergoes fermentation and maceration lasting approximately three weeks in total, under strictly monitored temperatures. This ensures an intensive extraction of color, aromas, and tannins, resulting in a full-bodied and layered wine. This Syrah has an alcohol content of 14%, resulting in a powerful yet well-balanced wine. The result is a combination of intensity and elegance, with a rich and refined flavor profile that remains beautifully in harmony.
