The Teliani Valley Kakhuri No.8 Amber Dry is a special wine from Georgia, originating from the famous Kakheti wine region, situated at the foot of the majestic Caucasus. This region is known for its centuries-old vineyard traditions and indigenous grape varieties, which give this wine its characteristic taste and amber color. The wine is a blend of four traditional Georgian white grapes: Rkatsiteli (40%), Kakhuri Mtsvane (40%), Khikhvi (10%), and Kisi (10%). These carefully selected grapes are harvested from their own vineyards in the Manavi microzone (Rkatsiteli and Kakhuri Mtsvane) and in the Akhmeta region (Kisi and Khikhvi).
The Teliani Valley Kakhuri No.8 Amber Dry is produced according to the traditional Kakheti method. After harvesting, the grapes undergo alcoholic fermentation with skin contact for 7 to 10 days, which ensures the characteristic amber color and enhanced aromas. Subsequently, a secondary malolactic fermentation takes place for 15 days, after which the wine ages on the skins for another 6 months. This process gives the wine a fuller body, soft tannins, and harmonious complexity. The wine has an alcohol content of 12.5%.
This delicious wine is a perfect choice for wine lovers looking for an authentic Georgian wine with a full flavor, elegant bouquet, and high aging potential.
