Ardmore Distillery was founded in 1898 by Adam Teacher and became William Teacher & Sons' first distillery. Much of the production has gone through the years in the world famous Teacher's Blend. For a long time it was the only distillery in the region to produce peated spirit. Since 2012, a considerable amount of non-peated Ardlair has been produced for the blends.
In 2005, the company was acquired by Jim Beam Brands, later Beam Suntory. Ardmore can produce 5,550,000 liters of pure alcohol at full speed. The Ardmore single malt has been a worldwide known single malt for many years, in various versions. In recent years, more and more independent bottlings have also been available, with many young versions in particular. The sweet peat and the robust Higland character are important characteristics of Ardmore expressions.
This 11 year old version has been matured in a refill Pedro Ximinez Hogshead. Sweet smoke, chocolate and soft wood tones. Fortunately, many bottles have come to the Netherlands.

NOSE: Sweet smoke, warm chocolate sauce. Nut bitters.
TASTE: Chocolate fondue. Sweet smoke. Hazelnut. Powerful and outspoken.
