This third release in Glen Scotia's award-winning Double Cask series was first matured in first-fill American oak bourbon casks, followed by a nine-month finish in French Bordeaux casks. The result is a lively and elegant dram characterized by full-bodied red fruit and rich maritime influences.

Tasting notes :

Nose : Strawberries and red berries, with a soft honey sweetness from maturing in first fill bourbon barrels.

Palate : Rich, full waves of ripe red fruit balanced by a soft oaky undertone. A distinctive hint of salty sea air adds that typical Campbeltown depth.

Finish : Long and refined with a lingering warmth. Subtle tannins and a spicy note follow, after which an elegant hint of Bordeaux vineyards stylishly rounds it off.
