This very special edition from the Hinch Distillery is a collaboration between the Northern Irish whiskey producer and importer Bresser & Timmer. The whiskey has matured in a barrel with a rich history. This barrel started its journey as a Sauternes barrel from Bordeaux and we initially used it to mature Rum that was produced in Barbados. The Daily Dram Rum Foursquare 15 Years Old – 2006 Sauternes barrel that resulted from it can still be ordered from us. After this, we had the barrel travel to Schliersee in Germany where the SLYRS distillery matured the Whisky SLYRS B&T Cask Foursquare – B&T 30 Years Old Anniversary bottling on it. We then sent the barrel to Lisburn where the Hinch Distillery matured this beautiful Single Cask Whiskey on it.

Thanks to the maturation on this special ex: Sauternes, Foursquare-Rum and Whisky-from-Bavaria cask, the Hinch Foursquare Single Cask – the journey has been given a complex, beautiful and very layered flavour profile. Filled in June 2017 and bottled in December 2024 and at 48.2%, these 342 bottles from cask #007896 offer you a unique opportunity to experience the influence of a specific cask on a bottle of whiskey. Especially when you can also get your hands on the Daily Dram and the SLYRS bottlings, this is an amazing opportunity.
