Lochlea Cask Strength Batch 3, bottled at 59.8% ABV, is also largely sourced from former Oloroso sherry butts. This is supplemented by whisky matured in former Islay whisky casks. A true richness and depth of flavors. Juicy, ripe red fruit with BBQ smoke mingle with silage, orange, and a windswept beach. On the palate, cherries and ripe red berries blend with ginger cake, molasses honey, and smoldering oak. The finish is long and complex with "salty smoke," oak, and delicate roses.
