In a 'mad scientist-esque' experiment, the two casks were blended to create a Speys Oddity.

• A rich, opulent ex-Muscatel cask, bursting with dried fruit and a velvety texture, at 55.0% natural cask strength.
• A dry, structured ex-Mezcal cask, giving a refined earthiness and a hint of smoke, at 54.9% natural cask strength.

The whisky has matured in both casks for at least 2 years.
