THE PROCESS

Berry Bros. & Rudd Caol Ila 2010 is a 15 year old Islay single malt from Caol Ila Distillery, bottled by the independent bottler Berry Bros. & Rudd as an exclusive single cask selection for Craft Spirits Company in the Netherlands. Distilled in 2010, the whiskey matured in hogshead cask number 318378 and was bottled at natural cask strength of 56.2% ABV. The whiskey is non chill filtered and contains no added colouring. This is a limited single cask release of 239 bottles.

TASTE PROFILE

On the nose, coastal peat smoke rises alongside dried fruits and roasted nuts, supported by hints of dark chocolate and gentle Oloroso sherry sweetness. On the palate, rich smoke combines with flavors of raisins, toasted almonds and salted caramel, balanced by warming spice and a touch of dark fruit. The finish is long and warming, with lingering peat smoke, dried fruit and soft oak spice.
The palate reveals soft smoky layers with lemon, green apple and hints of vanilla from the cask, complemented by a touch of sea salt and delicate peppery spice.

The finish is long and clean, with fading coastal smoke, bright citrus freshness and a lingering mineral salinity typical of Islay whisky.
