It is a very flavourful, unique expression. The heart of the Don Martín expression is an 8-year-old blended whisky that is first 'aged' and matured in oak casks. Subsequently, the whisky is transferred to custom-made Oloroso sherry octave casks for at least three months. The small casks ensure a high surface-to-volume ratio, resulting in more cask influence and more of those intense sherry notes.

As you approach the glass, you will be greeted by a seductive, beautiful dance of sweet and spicy aromas. The influence of the oak manifests itself in scents of vanilla, honey, and a hint of caramel.

With the first sip, the richness of this whisky will reveal itself. The influence of the oak creates a silky texture with flavours of toffee, butterscotch, and delicate spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg.

The Oloroso Sherry casks add a beautiful interplay of ripe fruit, with hints of dried apricots, figs, and a touch of orange peel.

The finish of this 8-year-old whisky is warm and long-lasting. The sweetness of the Sherry influence lingers, along with subtle smoky notes developing from the oak.

The finish is rounded off with a pleasant balance of spices and a hint of dark chocolate.
