Matured exclusively in unrinsed first-fill bourbon casks and bottled in small batches of approximately 60 casks.

Tasting note Whiskey Port Askaig 100 Proof

On the nose, buttery rye bread and honey-sweet lemon peel come to the fore, enveloped by a heavy smoke of coal and milk chocolate. On the palate, fresh ginger and citrus combine with peat smoke and caramel sweetness. This culminates in a spicy finish, in which aniseed and raspberry leaf linger together with chocolate-lime notes.
