This rich and refined sherry-aged Islay whisky is a paragon of balance between peat and sherry. The modern sherry style owes its rich flavour to the Oloroso sherry casks, which come exclusively from the renowned Spanish cooperage Jose y Miguel Martin.

The Sherry Cask is bottled in a small batch of 20 Oloroso sherry casks and will particularly appeal to Islay enthusiasts who appreciate more complex sherry styles.

The aroma opens with smoked plum jam and peppery seared steak, refreshed by navel orange and liquorice. On the palate, the flavour intensifies with coal smoke and dark chocolate-covered cherries, paired with roasted barbecue meat. Finally, a finish of cocoa nibs and dried mint provides a lingering hint of alcoholic berries.
