Glen Elgin 17 Years Old 2009 The Ultimate Selection Cask 5 + 6 0.70 ltr 46%

This Glen Elgin 2009 from The Ultimate Selection has matured for 17 years and received a special 25-month finish in First Fill Amarone Hogsheads (cask numbers 5 and 6). The influence of the Italian red wine gives the whisky a rich and fruity character with aromas of ripe cherries, red currants, dried fruit, and subtle notes of chocolate and oak. On the palate, dark fruits, vanilla, raisins, and warm spices come together beautifully, followed by a long, full finish with a pleasant wine sweetness. The whisky is bottled at 46%, without chill filtration and without the addition of colorings, ensuring the character of this special cask maturation is optimally preserved.
