Smell: Reminiscent of a harvest festival in autumn with an abundant wealth of fragrances nose tickles. The rich tones of raisins and nuts go into the crunchy sweetness of creme brulee with soft, creamy vanilla. The lively scent of orange and lime followed by walnut, honey and sticky sun-ripened dates. Sparkling floral aromas balancing the sweetness with green, almost spicy scents of geranium, jasmine, and the sharp of narcissus.
Taste: Glenmorangie 18 Years Old slips like silk on the tongue with a full and rounded flavor that starts with grapefruit and orange. The palette is then held captivated by an amalgamation of honey, creamy malt and aromatic flowers that flow out into the warm, syrupy notigheid of hazelnuts and walnuts, the influence of the Oloroso sherry casks. Taste the rich flavor of dates and figs, and an unexpected hint of wood smoke.
Bearing: aged 15 years in ex-bourbon casks from the best American white oak. A portion is crossed by Oloroso sherry casks for the last three years maturation.
