The Kilchoman Distillery is situated amidst the traditional buildings of Rockside Farm on the northwest coast of Islay.
While many distilleries use cognac casks to mature their whisky, Kilchoman goes a step further. This whisky spent its entire maturation period in ex-cognac barriques, allowing the French oak to fully develop. The 2026 edition is a blend of 33 first-fill barriques, distilled in 2019 and bottled at 50% alcohol. The result is a fusion of roasted nuts, warming spices, honeycomb sweetness, and luscious stone fruit, beautifully balanced with Kilchoman's signature peat smoke and fresh citrus character.
