Whiskey Kinahan's Single Malt Heritage is one of the brand's newer releases and is a smooth, vibrant and complex Single Malt Whisky. Made from 100% malted barley and produced in small batches of up to 30 hand-selected American Bourbon casks.

This shiny golden whiskey has a lot to offer in the nose and taste. Aromas of blood orange, caramel, hazelnut, tobacco and cocoa are very lively. The taste is very deep with notes of dark chocolate, pear, peach and eucalyptus. Subtle flavors of oak can be found in the finish, along with some sweetness of blood orange.

The impressive history of Kinahan & Co began when it was founded in 1779 by Daniel Kinahan, on Trinity Street in Dublin, Ireland. They became pioneers in the whiskey world, as they are believed to be the first to begin maturing in wooden barrels. The brand became more popular in the early 19th century, also due to the fact that they were given the 'LL' trademark. The mark could only be issued by Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, the head of state. Charles Lennox, then Lord Lieutenant, was so impressed with the whiskey that he ordered all stocks to be purchased exclusively for him. Due to the whiskey's growing popularity, the brand began exporting to London in 1841, which was a gateway to Europe, China, India and Australia.

This massive expansion of the brand did not go unnoticed in higher ranks either, with Queen Victoria awarding a "Royal Warrant" to the Irish whiskey brand. Unfortunately, the popularity of Irish Whiskey declined dramatically in the 1900's, this, combined with the ban on alcohol in the US and an impending Irish Civil War, meant that in October 1988 the brand decided to take a long hiatus until better times arrived. . The company reopened on March 14, 2014, aiming to revive the historic name through a series of original bottlings.
