Penderyn The Village – Icons of Wales #14 is an Amarone Cask Finish with an alcohol percentage of 46%. A whisky inspired by the fairytale Italian village, released in honour of the centenary of Portmeirion in 2026.
The enchanting village of Portmeirion was brought to life between 1925 and 1973 by the visionary Welsh architect Sir Clough Williams-Ellis. Tucked away along the rugged coastline of North Wales, it is an ode to individuality and elegance, where every building is carefully designed to evoke timeless beauty and a design that seems to dance with the landscape itself. In 1963, architecture critic Lewis Mumford marveled at this “ artistic and playful… fantastic collection of mischievous modern fantasies ”.
