The twelfth whisky in Penderyn's Icons of Wales Edition is called Copperopolis and has been finished in Sweet Red Wine casks. Swansea became known as 'Copperopolis' because, from 1720 onwards, 50% of the world's copper and 90% of the UK's copper was smelted in this area. Penderyn's new distillery is located in the Powerhouse of Swansea's old copperworks.

Aroma: Floral and fruity. Orange blossom aromas, notes of peach, cherry, and orange peel. Sweet vanilla and honey, with a light spiciness of dried fruit.

Palate: Lush mouthfeel. Rich sweetness of caramel and honey. Bouquet of dried fruit; raisins, figs, and light oak spice.

Finish: Dry oak, with a citrus sweetness and a hint of cocoa at the end.
