An ode to times gone by on Terschelling

Joris explains: “When a storm starts, many a beachcomber's heart beats faster. Will something be launched from a ship? Will something wash up on the beach? Regularly, barrels would wash up on the Terschelling beach during a heavy storm. This was also the case in 1969, when dozens of barrels of whisky washed ashore. Ships from Scotland and America lost whisky to the sea, and the sea gave it to the islanders.” He continues: “The ‘Lost Whisky’ is an ode to these bygone times.” The island bottler explains that it has become a Scottish blend, with a beautifully rounded, smooth taste. “We wanted it to be a whisky that is accessible to everyone: if you're new to the world of whisky, this is a great introduction. And for experienced whisky drinkers, it's a nice whisky to start the evening with.”
