Inspired by the legend

Under the soft moonlight, the mythical creature, the Silkie, comes ashore in the form of a seal on the remote Silver Strand, off the Donegal coast. Carefully shedding her seal fur, she transforms into her human form—a beautiful, dark-haired maiden with deep, beautiful eyes you could easily get lost in.

Dancing across the sand, enjoying the freedom she enjoys in both worlds, she is oblivious to the young fisherman enchanted by her beauty. She turns, their eyes meet, and their love is sealed.

Silkie creates a cozy home with her fisherman, but the sea calls her back to the water incessantly. This call becomes so strong that she leaves her beloved and returns to the ocean forever.

The legendary Dark Silkie Irish Whiskey is a smoky blend of double-distilled single malts and triple-distilled peated single malts with smooth grain whisky, created especially for enjoying in the wee hours of the night.

Dark Silkie, an ode to the Donegal whiskies of yesteryear, is a rich, smoky blend full of character. The whisky is non-chill-filtered and bottled at 46% ABV, making it incredibly smooth with a stunning natural sweetness.

Inspired by the rich folk tales of the Silkie Seals, often told by the glow of a peat fire, Dark Silkie has at its core a triple-distilled, peated single malt matured in sherry. This single malt is peated to 55 ppm, which after triple distillation results in 22 ppm, resulting in a rich, sweet, smoky flavor.
