Fruity mandarin is the 'signature' of the handmade Glen Elgin, caused by a long and accurate fermentation. An easily accessible single malt with fruit and sweets from Speyside.

Appearance
Full gold.
Nose
Sweet. Almonds, or maybe marzipan? Orange juice. Perhaps something of sawn timber. With water: esters from Speyside, walnut oil and butterfat, crackers, traces of fresh pear, a hint of smoke or steam, compact.
BODY
Soft, medium.
Taste
Pleasant mouthfeel, sweet, dry with some acid in between, all together nicely balanced.
Aftertaste
Dry, balanced finish.

This is a rock solid entry level Speyside.
Not too complex, I don't have a whisky tasting vocabulary but I would say sweet and simple with a coffee nose and definitely floral.
Nose: Floral with honey and toffee attached to it.
Taste: This is tricky. On the other side its smooth and fruity sweet but it also kinda gives you spices and maybe even hints of smoke. There's definitely caramel in there.
Finish: Spicy and oily finish.
