The Langatun Château Kefraya Cask Finish 2nd Edition is a new bottling in our Cask Finish series. After pre-storage in a French oak Chardonnay cask, the single malt was transferred to a Château Kefraya red wine cask for a post-maturation period of over two years. This was previously home to the grape varieties Cinsaut du Liban and Syrah.

Color: reddish brown

Aroma: spicy, ripe apricot, salted, caramel, crème brûlée, dried figs, hint of cinnamon, cloves, milk chocolate, nuts, marzipan, roasted malt, prunes, nutmeg

Taste: very characterful, nicely spicy, dried figs, toasted oak, prunes, dried apricots, some marzipan in the background, nuts, licorice, pink pepper, wine gum, roasted almonds, birewegge

Finish: warming, spicy, roasted flavors, slight sweetness, subtle woody and bitter notes, heavy red wine, some tannins.
