The first release in the new Sinteis Series – pronounced sin-teesh – is an ode to GlenAllachie's cask creativity.

This expression brings together two powerful yet harmonious wood types: first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry puncheons and Chinquapin virgin oak, an American oak species from the Ozarks in Missouri.

This bottling combines classic GlenAllachie flavours with adventurous wood influences, and is also bottled at cask strength.

Tasting notes :

Nose : Licorice and butterscotch open the aroma, followed by toasted honeycomb, candied orchard fruit and cocoa.

Taste : A spicy start with ginger and butterscotch, followed by candied lemon peel, fig jam, blackberries and molasses. The Chinquapin oak adds a smoky spiciness that contrasts nicely with the sweet PX influences.

Finish : Long and layered, with lingering spiciness, dark fruits and a warm chocolate note
