THE SINGLE MALT THAT STARTED IT ALL
The history of The Glenlivet begins underground. For years the whiskey was made without authorization. However, the fame spread quickly; even King George IV, there appeared to be all questions in 1822. Two years later, the first distillery license to distil whiskey legally hence the description: "The Glenlivet, the single malt That started it all."
Many tried to make the unique whiskey after and brought them even called Glenlivet on the market. In 1884 a court ruled that only 'Glenlivet' narrows of the late George Smith's article 'The' sure could use. Since then called George Smith's Glenlivet whiskey if only 'The Glenlivet, a single malt whiskey that stands for outstanding quality.
Nowadays, The Glenlivet the second largest single malt whiskey brand in the world.
